Installation

You can install the Tribe Core Software by downloading the Tribe Universe installer, this installer will install all the software you need to use our sound libraries, this includes the Tribe Core engine (Standalone and Plugin versions) and the Tribe Hub Application for Sound Libraries installation. You can download the Tribe Universe installer from your Account Page.

Opening the Engine

After Installing you’ll find different versions of the Tribe Core Engine like Standalone App, VST3, AAX and Audio Units (MacOS Only) in their default folders:

MacOS:
VST3: MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
AU: MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
AAX: MacHD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
App: MacHD/Applications

Windows:
VST3: C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST3
AAX: C:/Program Files/Common Files/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
App: C:/Program Files/TRIBE Core

To use the engine in your favorite DAW use an instrument track and then load the TRIBE Core Plugin, you’ll find it under “Tribe Instruments” in some DAWs like Logic.

In Some DAW’s you’ll need to load the Multi Output version in order to use the multi output channel features of some instruments.

Loading an instrument

The process to load an instrument is pretty straightforward, after installing the product through the TRIBE Hub app you’ll find it in the Tribe Core instrument list. Just Click in the instrument name and VoilĂ !

Add and Refresh an instrument

To add a new instrument you’ll always need the Tribe Hub app but you can Click in the “Add a new instrument” Button in order to open the Hub app automatically

To Refresh the instrument list after installing a new library just click in the “Refresh Button”.

Zoom Factor

You can change the Zoom factor or the Size of the window to fit in your screen.

Just Click in the “Eye” Icon in the upper left corner and select the % factor that you want or Click & Drag the “Dots” icon in the lower right.

Side Menu

In the Upper right corner you’ll find a “List” icon, here you can do some things like open this manual in the support page, visit our website, open the Settings window or read about our Tribe Core Engine.

Settings

Here you can:

UI Zoom factor: Change the Zoom factor too.

Use OpenGL: A Renderer that will optimize the graphic resources by rendering the UI using your graphics card (if you have one) Very useful in Windows and Intel based Macs. Does nothing in Apple Silicon.

Streaming Mode: Changing the Sample Streaming Mode depending on the type of drive you have, Fast for SSD (Solid State Drives) or Slow for mechanical hard drives. This will automatically optimize the use of CPU, RAM and drive streaming resources if you’re having clicks and pops.

Max Voices: Some libraries will use more or less memory for the voice streaming, if you are having some voice stealing or killing notes you can increase this number or if you want to save some CPU and memory resources you can adjust a lower limit.

MIDI Channel

Here you can select the MIDI Channel that will receive the incoming MIDI notes and data. Useful if you’re using different MIDI sources, keep in mind that this works in the Global Level, so every instrument will be changed from this setting (Some libraries use a multi timbral setting that works on per instrument level).

MIDI Devices (Stand alone app only)

If you’re using the Standalone app version of the Engine this option will be available and you can select the MIDI Devices that you want to trigger the incoming MIDI notes or data.

Here you can setup your MIDI Keyboard and MIDI CC Controllers.

Audio Settings (Stand alone app only)

If you’re using the Standalone app version of the Engine this option will be available and you can select the Sound Card or device that you want to use to play the engine sounds.

Here you can select the driver (a compatible ASIO driver recommended for Windows) the actual Sound Card or Interface, the Output channel (Just Stereo for Standalone app), the Buffer Size, Sample Rate and set the Global BPM to Synchronize Arpeggiators and LFOs.

Instrument Specific Settings

Each Instrument has its own specific needs, DSP, UI and different settings like MIDI CC Controllers, Multi timbral MIDI Channels and more. If you want to know more about please go the Manual Page in the support section.
